Bon Voyage Expantion Pack News
Information on the next expantion pack is now available here. Looks like the release date is Sept 5th.

From the pictures it looks like they are having a camping type locale, a beachside resort, and an Asian inspired location. Also it looks like they have square dancing or line dancing, tai chi, and hula dancing as a group activity. It looks very neat.

I will try to keep everyone updated as information becames available.

Riverblossom Hills
I figure it's ok to post about my new community because I was able to post about my old ones.

With the Sims 2 Seasons there is a new base neighborhood called Riverblossom Hills so I created my_riverblossom for all the stories that go on in the new neighborhood.

I'm so excited to have this new neighborhood with new sims but also they have the Greenman family which is the plant people family.

Also, I was thinking about creating a community for those that have recreated the original Sims 1 neighborhood but since it was never named and it's later called Pleasantview. Some call it Simylvania. What do you think? My_Simsylvania?

Apacolypse Now
So I saw on TheSims2 LJ community a link to The Apacolypse Challence. Now I'm not done with my Legacy Population Challenge, but this is rather intrigueing. I might take a stab at it just to see how I do.

Any else seen this or tried it? Anyone still here?

Royal Kingdom Challenge
This was posted in thesims2 and I thought that I would share it.

It's a challenge for a period themed neighborhood. I think that it looks facinating and I'll attempt it when my Population Legacy Challenge is done.

Twins in Legacy Challenge
I've started a legacy challenge and I'm on the second generation and I've had two sets of twins already. I hope that this isn't a trend. I didn't even use cheesecake. Must run in the family...

Because I am a Glutten for Punishment...
I've started a project that is a compination of my population challenge and the legacy challenge.

Basically, I start a legacy challenge in a new neighborhood and use the non-heir children to start a new legacy challenge in the same neighborhood. I don't think that it will take as long to fill the neighborhood but I do want to get all the houses to the 10th generation.

Right now the founders are elders, the heir's wife is pregnant, and two other children have moved out to start on their own. I have two more first generation children to move out too.

I've been taking pics but they are few and far between but I'll try to get something up here soon.

I can't be the only one with anything worth while to post... What have you been up do?

My computer died so I will have to start over unfortunatly on my new (faster) computer. I'm loading The Sims 2 now, in fact. Has anyone else been working on a challenge?

Population Challenge ~ Smith Gen 1 ~ 01
Meet Jon Smith, a family sim living in a deserted neighborhood. He wants to marry off six kids as a life time want so he has plans to mack on a lady and get her to say I do.

But first off, he's dissappointed with his driveway, it's a disappointment as far as driveways go. All flat and grey.

A Population Challenge
Objective: To fill a neighborhood with small lots and populate the entire neighborhood starting with one sim.

• Start with a brand new neighborhood. You cannot use one of the prebuilt unless you delete all families from it first.
• Create a sim, male or female, any aspiration, to start your challenge. Move them into a lot and marry a townie.
• All lots in the neighborhood must be classified as small. Either 3 x 2, 2 x 3, 2 x 4, 2 x 2, or 3 x 1. Maxis prebuilt lots are fine to use too.
• If you have the Nightlife EP, you cannot have any community lots in your primary neighborhood. If you do not have the Nightlife EP, then you are allowed one community lot of a small size for clothing, etc needs.
• Please refrain from using cheats for money or to impregnate sims. Cheats that do not aid in reaching the challenges goal are welcome.
• Sims can only get pregnant when one or both sims in a relationship have the ‘have baby/adopt’ aspiration want. (Exception: if a sim has a lifetime want of marrying off 6 kids or to send 3 kids to college, etc.)
• If you have the University EP, sims can go to college if you wish.
• To keep track of the generations, note in the household bio and the sims individual bio what generation they are. EI: First sim and spouse(s) are founders. Their children are Gen 1 (generation), their children are Gen 2, and so forth. To win all, the households must have at least one sim from the same generation.
• All sims in the neighborhood have to be direct descendants of the original sim, meaning that if a sim marries and then they separate and the former spouse has a child, that child is not a blood relation to the original sim and thus does not count in the challenge.
• To choose a teens aspiration, and to avoid all family sims, use a 6 sided dice to determine aspiration. 1) Fortune 2) Knowledge 3) Romance 4) Family 5) Popularity 6) w/o NF, you chose, w/ NF Pleasure Seeker.

To Be Announced

*Please Note: This is a rough draft and I have never put one of these things together. Suggestions welcome!

My Communities
Because strangetown said I could:

These are my other Sims 2 communities dedicated to the prebuilt neightborhoods and characters. I figured that if you are interested in one, you might be interested in the other. Please check them out.

What's new in your Pleasantview?

What's going down in your Strangetown?

Is there still ill will in your Veronaville?

Hello, I'm Elle, a sims 2 addict. I've been playing since the original and have every expansion that has ever been released. I have a sims 2 community of my own too.

Is there such a thing as a population challenge? If not I've come up with one and I'd like some feedback on it. I have the guidelines laid out already. What do you think?

This is a nice idea for a community. I hope that things pick up around here. :)
